Jagadish Shivappa Shettar (born 17 December 1955) is a Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, who was the 21st Chief Minister of Karnataka from 2012 to 2013. He has subsequently served as Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Earlier, he was the Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly during 2008-2009.
On 03 July 2023 he was indicative as the MLC in the INC Government led by Siddaramaiah.

Hubballi-Dharwad BRTS
The Hubballi-Dharwad Bus Rapid Transit System (HDBRTS) is a unique project initiated by GoK. The project is jointly assisted by GoK,World Bank and GoI. The HDBRTS Company was registered under the Companies Act on 07-05-2012 as a Special Purpose Vehicle to implement the BRT system in between the cities of Hubballi and Dharwad.
